    Garage Golf Simulator Installation

A garage can be a practical simulator location, but its clear space changes as the garage door moves and the household uses the room. TVS reviews the actual conditions before recommending a layout. We plan the simulator and AV scope; structural changes, HVAC, electrical and general remodeling are not part of the standard installation scope.

    Discuss this project

A consultation request is not an appointment booking or equipment purchase.

    01

    Measure the usable garage envelope

Measure the planned hitting area with the garage door both closed and fully open. Tracks, openers, beams, lights, storage racks and parked vehicles can intrude into the swing or projector envelope. A measurement is a starting point, not a guarantee that every product will fit; final fit depends on the selected hardware and user.

    • Record clear width, depth and ceiling height at the hitting position.
    • Inspect door tracks, opener rails and overhead storage in both door positions.
    • Test a full swing with the tallest and most frequent intended player.
    • Include safe access around the bay and a route that does not cross the hitting zone.
    02

Balance play with parking and storage

Decide whether the bay stays assembled, moves away for parking, or shares space with storage and other activities. Screen enclosure, turf and equipment placement should leave agreed access to the garage, household storage and exit routes. If a folding or portable arrangement is considered, confirm that the specific equipment supports the intended setup.

    • Choose what must remain accessible when the simulator is in use.
    • Check screen, mat, side protection and equipment storage locations.
    • Avoid blocking doors, panels, walkways or vehicle movement.
    • Confirm who will move equipment and where it can be stored safely.
    03

    Protect projection and equipment

The projector needs a suitable image path and a position protected from impact; launch-monitor placement must follow the current manufacturer instructions. Garage temperature, dust, humidity, sunlight and vehicle exhaust may affect equipment suitability and room comfort. HVAC, insulation and environmental upgrades require separate assessment by qualified trades.

    • Check projector throw and screen fill against the selected model’s lens range.
    • Keep equipment and cabling away from ball impact and vehicle paths.
    • Review temperature, dust, moisture and direct sunlight exposure.
    • Coordinate any ceiling backing, new circuits or other physical changes separately.
    04

Coordinate other work and define the handoff

The proposal identifies TVS’s simulator, AV and agreed low-voltage work. Electrical circuits and outlets, structural alterations, insulation, HVAC, drywall, painting and construction are not represented as included. We can coordinate sequence and connection points with the homeowner’s selected trades where agreed.

    • Confirm owner, builder and trade responsibilities before work begins.
    • Agree cable pathways and equipment locations before any walls or ceilings close.
    • Verify power and network readiness with the responsible professionals.
    • List testing, training and support deliverables in the approved scope.

    Questions before planning

Does an equipment package include installation?

Not necessarily. Equipment packages and installation are separate scopes unless the supplier’s current written offer expressly says otherwise. A project proposal identifies the agreed components and work.

Can you confirm the room will fit a simulator?

We can review measurements, user swing, doors, obstacles and the selected equipment documentation. Fit is configuration-specific and should be confirmed before purchase.

Are electrical, structural or room-construction changes included?

No such work is assumed. Electrical, structural, HVAC and general construction work remain with the responsible qualified trade unless a separate written agreement explicitly assigns a specific scope.

Do you offer a fixed installation time or response window?

No fixed schedule or response time is promised here. Timing and availability are confirmed for the specific project after scope, access and dependencies are understood.

Bring the room details. We’ll help map the next steps.

Share what you know about the space, intended use and project stage. Unknowns are fine; this starts a conversation, not a booking.
