    Custom Home Golf Simulators

A custom home simulator begins with the room and the people who will use it. TVS evaluates the swing area, desired experience and existing technology, then helps define an equipment and installation plan that fits the home. The system can be a dedicated practice room or part of a broader media and entertainment space.

    Discuss this project

A consultation request is not an appointment booking or equipment purchase.

    01

Evaluate the room before selecting a package

We review clear width, depth and ceiling height; golfer height and swing; intended handedness; hitting position; seating; doors and windows; and the available equipment locations. Manufacturer requirements vary by product and configuration, so dimensions are checked against the actual current documentation rather than a generic room-size promise.

    • Measure finished, usable space—not just the room’s outside dimensions.
    • Allow for full club swing, safe circulation and impact-screen clearance.
    • Consider ceiling fixtures, fans, beams, HVAC grilles, doors and furniture.
    • Note whether a single golfer or multiple household members will use the bay.
    02

Design the screen, enclosure and projection together

The enclosure and screen, projector and lens position, launch monitor, hitting surface and computer form one layout. Screen proportions and image geometry need to suit the room. We coordinate mounting and low-voltage connections within the approved installation scope; structural backing, ceiling modifications and electrical work are not assumed.

    • Compare enclosure dimensions and impact protection to the available area.
    • Check projector throw, image fill, shadow risk and protection from ball impact.
    • Position the launch monitor according to its current placement requirements.
    • Choose a hitting surface and finish that work with the planned stance and play.
    03

    Choose integration options deliberately

Lighting scenes, audio, a secondary display, home network access and control can make the room easier to use, but each is optional and configuration-dependent. We identify which elements are part of the simulator proposal and which are separate home systems so the handoff is clear.

    • Decide what must be controlled from the simulator and what can remain independent.
    • Review network access and computer placement for the chosen software.
    • Plan room lighting to support both image visibility and safe movement.
    • Select additional displays or audio only when they serve a defined use.
    04

    Install, validate and hand off

The written scope identifies equipment, assembly, mounting, setup, software configuration, calibration and test steps. We verify the listed start-up and shot-tracking workflow with the specified hardware and licensed software. User orientation, documentation and post-install support are described in the agreement rather than assumed.

    • Confirm owner-provided equipment, accounts, subscriptions and network access.
    • Set up the approved components and route agreed low-voltage connections.
    • Test alignment, image, tracking and the agreed user workflow.
    • Review basic operation, open items and support arrangements at handoff.

    Questions before planning

Does an equipment package include installation?

Not necessarily. Equipment packages and installation are separate scopes unless the supplier’s current written offer expressly says otherwise. A project proposal identifies the agreed components and work.

Can you confirm the room will fit a simulator?

We can review measurements, user swing, doors, obstacles and the selected equipment documentation. Fit is configuration-specific and should be confirmed before purchase.

Are electrical, structural or room-construction changes included?

No such work is assumed. Electrical, structural, HVAC and general construction work remain with the responsible qualified trade unless a separate written agreement explicitly assigns a specific scope.

Do you offer a fixed installation time or response window?

No fixed schedule or response time is promised here. Timing and availability are confirmed for the specific project after scope, access and dependencies are understood.

Bring the room details. We’ll help map the next steps.

Share what you know about the space, intended use and project stage. Unknowns are fine; this starts a conversation, not a booking.
