Treasure Valley Solutions - Smart Home and Security Installation in Meridian Idaho

Conference Room AV for New Construction

Coordinate conference-room AV decisions while layouts and pathways are still accessible. We work with owners, general contractors, and tenant-improvement teams to define AV locations, milestones, and trade handoffs.

    Conference-room prewire checklist

Use this as a coordination agenda; final locations and responsibilities are project-specific.

    1. Room and seating plan: confirm room use, table shape, seating positions, sightlines, display visibility, and accessible circulation.
    2. Display and camera positions: review screen locations, camera framing, presenter positions, and viewing distance from the farthest seat.
    3. Microphone and speaker coverage: identify likely microphone pickup areas and speaker locations relative to seating, room finishes, and table layout.
    4. Table connectivity: decide whether users need wired connections, power, USB, or other agreed presentation connections at the table; confirm furniture coordination and pathway requirements.
    5. Equipment location: reserve an accessible rack, credenza, or equipment area with room for ventilation, service access, and cable organization.
    6. Network and power coordination: identify AV network drops and power needs. Electrical design, circuits, receptacles, and electrical installation belong to the responsible electrical trade unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
    7. Pathways and rough-in: review cable routes, sleeves, back boxes, and pathway needs with the GC and responsible trades before rough-in. Conduit and construction work are not assumed to be TVS scope.
    8. Approvals and milestones: confirm owner/IT decisions, drawings, submittal approvals, rough-in dates, access, and the point at which walls or ceilings close.
    9. Testing and handoff: define equipment commissioning, labeling, documentation, user walkthrough, and training deliverables in the approved project scope.

    Commissioning and support boundaries

Commissioning covers only AV equipment and test steps identified in the agreement, after the responsible construction and electrical trades have completed their handoffs. Verification of electrical circuits, building network readiness, construction quality, or concealed trade work is not part of AV commissioning unless explicitly assigned. User training, record/as-built documentation, post-occupancy tuning, and ongoing support are excluded unless itemized in the approved scope.

Treasure Valley Solutions can coordinate AV requirements and the low-voltage scope agreed for the project. We do not represent electrical, structural, drywall, painting, conduit, or other construction work as included unless it is explicitly approved and assigned to the appropriate responsible trade.
